Courthouse Facility Dog: Polar

In November 2024, Hero To A Child introduced our newest and furriest team member—Polar, the first Courthouse Facility Dog serving Florida's 6th Judicial Circuit. Specially trained by Canine Companions Inc., Polar provides calmness, comfort, and emotional support to children and youth navigating the court system due to abuse or neglect. Whether he is sitting beside a child during a difficult court appearance or offering moments of reassurance after a forensic interview, Polar plays a vital role in helping young people feel safe, heard, and supported.
